ABOUT THE ROLE:

MANTL is looking for a highly motivated, mission-oriented individual to lead the Product Management function through the next phase of growth. This person will lead our Account Opening Product Management team and develop strategic initiatives that drive long-term value, reporting to the VP, Product.

This person will blend together exceptional product leadership skills, product process skills, and people leadership skills to ensure customers are achieving high value from the MANTL platform, while building a healthy and performant product organization. They will work closely with our engineering, design, and program management teams as well as cross-functionally with sales, marketing, customer success, solutions engineering, and enablement teams.

The ideal candidate is someone with at least 12+ years of experience at a SaaS technology company, preferably with an understanding of banking operations or a Fintech background. They should be a self-starter who can identify gaps in the business, technology and product, work in the present environment and clearly define a path for the future.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, lead, retain, and grow an amazing team of product leaders - mentor, coach, lead, and manage a team of top performers to advance their skill, contribution and impact.
  • Manage execution on company priorities and help define a roadmap across multiple squads that drives the day-to-day product work. Act as a player/coach when needed, while still being able to zoom out and represent work efforts to an executive audience for the product team as a whole.
  • Create processes that fosters collaboration, transparency and open communication with stakeholders that result in strong product results and an enabled product-led organization.
  • Drive concrete results through your team with product specific metrics that align to business values and goals that advance our roadmap and company goals. 
  • Make excellent decisions that move the product functionality, design, roadmap and priorities forward - exhibit excellent prioritization skills that balance business, technical, customer and strategic inputs that are openly communicated and understood by team members, peers and leadership.
  • Uplevel our product craft and refine our product development processes to help build MANTL into a top product organization - balancing quality, speed, differentiation, and strategic impact
  • Be an evangelist for the product both internally and externally - work with clients and internal stakeholders alike to express the vision and value of the product
  • Work closely with senior leadership to keep the team and the product aligned to executive strategic goals for the future. Push to meet and exceed company delivery and revenue goals in conjunction with your fellow leaders.
  • Identify strategic opportunities, markets, partnerships or approaches to advance our roadmap.
  • Learn, if necessary, and scale market knowledge within Product Development and all of MANTL to make MANTL an obsessive student of our customer and market.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Twelve or more years of experience as a product manager or product leader, with a track record of product success and strong product fundamentals.
  • Five or more years of people leadership experience in product and/or technical leadership, running multiple pods/squads and/or a multi-product area strategy.
  • Exceptional oral/written communication skills, with the ability to communicate equally well with a junior engineer, designer, sales leader, customer or executive.
  • Strong leadership skills - you hire, coach and steer your team to top performance. You are a skilled and experienced manager and leader.
  • Skilled in collaborating and managing stakeholders - you communicate and collaborate across all levels of the organization to ensure stakeholders can contribute and stay informed. Your former stakeholders tout your strong relationship building skills.
  • Proven ability to identify, define, and execute on goals both strategic and tactical - you create clarity and a path forward despite ambiguity.
  • Systemic thinking skills that help scale our product process and create leverage within your team and the organization.
  • Strong product, design, technical, business and market skills that you bring together to make trustworthy decisions and prioritize against the wildly important.
  • Deep experience in and appreciation for customer, market and product discovery + leading product approaches and design-thinking frameworks.
  • Highly proficient in scrum and agile practices, JIRA, and product operations, with experience scaling multi-product teams .
  • Deep appreciation, and ideally experience, working in B2B enterprise SaaS, fintech and/or Banking in a fast-paced, startup environment.
